The winery
The Karnburg Winery is located at the foot of the Ulrichsberg in an absolute sunny location, in the northern part of the provincial capital Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (St. Peter am Bichl). The primary rock soils and the climate typical of this region favor fruity wines that reflect the terroir.
The story
In 2005, the first joint vineyard was planted on the land in Stegendorf. In 2007 the first harvest was processed from this.
In the fall of 2008, construction of the wine cellar began, which was completed in 2012. The wine cellar was designed “open” to have enough space in case of capacity increases. Particular importance was attached to the fact that no pumps are required for “moving” – gravity takes care of the gentle transport in the cellar. The most modern cellar machines guarantee perfect vinification.
